Seussibles!, an officially licensed Dr. Seuss digital collecting experience created by Tibles Inc. in partnership with Dapper Labs, is now accessible via desktop and mobile web applications. The platform initially launched exclusively in the App Store in December 2021 and became Flow’s first mainstream iOS app.
Seussibles! includes classic Dr. Seuss characters like The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, The Grinch, Horton, and many others. The sticker cards flip to reveal trivia, animations, and other original artwork like old-school style games you might have found in the Sunday comics of newspapers—word scrambles, connect-the-dots, and spot-the-differences.
In the Seussibles! web experience, fans can open new packs, buy individual items, and organize and display their collections. Other expanded social features in the iOS mobile app include community forums, private chats, friending, gifting, sticker books, customizable rooms, and free barter trading. Seussibles! has also now enabled its own peer-to-peer marketplace in the desktop experience using Dapper to buy and sell digital collectibles with other collectors. And jumping in won’t break the bank – general release packs will start at just $4.99, while packs with limited edition collectibles will start at $6.99.
“We’ve been overwhelmed by the community response to Seussibles! since launching in the App Store,” said Erich Wood (a.k.a. Woody), CEO of Tibles. “The community has all kinds of fans, from hard core Seuss fine art collectors to new casual fans that love the experience to parents opening packs with their kids.”
Tibles chose to build on Flow because it was designed to deliver consumer-scale blockchain experiences. Its unique architecture and developer friendly programming language, Cadence, enable fast, low-cost transactions, which allowed Tibles to implement barter trading and gifting on-chain at no extra cost to collectors. Flow also proved to be a more environmentally-friendly blockchain than alternate layer one solutions, aligning with key themes in the Dr. Seuss catalog.
Flow was also an ideal option to build and grow a new community of nostalgic Dr. Seuss digital collectors, as it paved the way for a new category of kids and family-focused content and brands building on Flow. Zigazoo, the largest social network for kids, partnered with CoComelon, Blippi, Qai Qai, and Nyla Hayes to launch family-friendly NFT collections on Flow, while Mattel created a Barbie x Balmain NFT auction, accelerating the toy brand and fashion house into the NFT space.
